Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to give you my personal information?

A: No, all we need is an email address to confirm your account, and that will be kept private. Be sure and read our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for full details.

Q: But when I first logged in, it went to my profile page, and I had to fill in first and last name to continue.

A: Most people want to enter their real names, but feel free to enter an alias if you want. Whatever name you enter, it can be changed at any time by clicking, "Edit Profile." Please read our Privacy Policy for details.

Q: I want friends to see which events I posted. Will my name appear on my posts?

A: We have intentionally left that up to you. If you want to be seen, you are welcome to enter your name in the details of events you post. In fact, we encourage it.

Q: Do I have to be a sponsor or member of a group holding an event or meeting that I post?

A: No, anyone can post an event. The idea is for us to all become publishers and spread the word.

Q: Can I trust that posted events are real?

A: This is the Internet, and there are always risks of error or malicious manipulation of information. Always verify, never make travel plans without first talking to an event's sponsor or contact person. Please see Event Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability in our Terms of Use for more on this.

Q: Just what kind of events can I post at TeaRallies.com?

A: TeaRallies.com exists for one reason. To help save our country by promoting the Tea Party Movement. You should only post Tea Party meetings and events, city, county & school board meetings, town hall meetings, public forums, educational events, fundraisers, and anything that would be of interest to Tea Party patriots. In other words, if it is about preserving our liberty or our self-governance, post it! Please do not post SPAM of any kind.

Q: Won't people be mad at me for posting their events?

A: We don't think so. Most people want their events publicized as much as possible. One of the most magnificent things about the Tea Party movement is it operates in the sunshine! Tea Party Groups are not cunning, secretive, or exclusive. They are a cross-section of the entire nation; farmers, teachers, nurses, doctors, construction workers, grandmas, and generally a representation of every color, cast, and creed in America. If you post only public, fair-use information that you have personal knowledge of, or have gotten from a reliable source, everything should be fine. Please see our Terms of Service for our policy on Copyright and removing disputed materials.

Q: I am involved with (any racist or radical group). Can I post my meetings?

A: No and "Hell NO!" The Tea Party movement is all about preserving liberty and accountability for everyone. We want nothing to do with fascists, racists, communists, criminals, radicals, or any seditious organization of any kind. Anything we find posted in any of these categories will be summarily deleted without notice.

Q: Why is the website so plain?

A: We as a nation are in big trouble, and everyone's time is valuable, so we designed TeaRallies.com to be lean and mean. It is not a blog or even a website in the conventional sense. It is a tool designed to help us win our country back. Like all good tools, it is only valuable when it is used, so please use it, use it, use it. wear it out if you can.

Q: Why do I see the word "Beta" on the site?

A: We are in the middle of a national emergency, so we wanted to get TeaRallies.com up and running fast! It is fully functional, but there are a few more features coming. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding things and fine-tuning how data is entered and displayed. If you have any suggestions, we welcome your feedback.
